Our Mission
- Pogis Somer travelled through time and landed on Planet Earth. He is here to help humans raise environmental identity and consciousness through love and story-telling. Humans are born to love and this is why we can nurture them and inspire them using real life events. Simply put, plant a tree, make it a myth, turn it to a story-telling; and then consider substantial environmental issues around critically endangered Vaquita Porpoise and environmental policies and actions since late 1970’s; How important it is to tell the story of this beautiful animal and to pass the message on to more people. Help existing Environmental Organizations, and there is a good number, drive progress faster.
- Pogis Somer is a young extraterrestrial from the planet Trappist. He lands on planet earth to help the environment through active participation. Pogis Somer will actively participate through story telling in campaigns, expeditions or any other event being promoted by small or large environmental groups. Be it a school helping clean our water front, planting trees or an organization working tirelessly for years with locals to save Leatherback Turtles.
- What sets this character apart is his environmentally conscious objective. Pogis Sommer strives to combine the world of Story-Telling and Environmental Groups or Activists in a shared mission of caring and protecting for our planet and its wildlife. Pogis Somer’s Adventures will take part in this shared mission by creating an industry segment specifically geared towards contributing to the ongoing efforts in saving our precious planet.
- Episodes of the PS story will be based on real world events.
- Real life experiences and happenings will be collected from the Environmental Organisations and Groups that are on board with the PS program.
- These will be integrated into the ongoing storyline as part of our character’s adventures.
- After receiving approval from the party involved, each episode will be stamped on the bottom right with the logo of the Env Org to which it is referring to (stamp of approval/authenticity).
Future Plans
- We believe Integrating Pogis Somer character and real-life environmental events into a ‘Pogis Somer Story Telling Scripts’ will establish familiarity with the character and increase environmental involvement.
- By forming a solid Pogis Somer subscription base that consists of a wide audience of people across different countries, we can then create a community that shares similar environmental values and goals.
- Environmental Organizations (EO) are constantly involved in hugely important campaigns and expeditions, but sadly have follower-engagement rates that are far lower than 1% on social media. By creating an integrated storyline we want to utilize the Pogis Somer character & the EO’s, to create engaging content that is both educational and informative and is easily accessible by all ages. Real EO’s world events and concerns can thus reach a wider audience through a more accessible medium. The PS story then takes on an educational and informative dimension that is also concerned specifically with the EO’s targets and challenge in real time. Environmental education and training, especially of young people, is a basic condition for the physical and cultural survival of humanity.
- With all this in mind, our plan is to evolve and expand Pogis Somer into books geared for use in schools, animated video episodes, and character spin-offs, in order to reach as many people as possible.
